Swim With The Turtles

I swam with the honu, also known as the Hawaiian sea turtle. Sea turtles have lived on Earth for 150,000,000 years, since before the time of the dinosaurs. The honu is probably the most friendly sea turtle. Honu are able to swim long distances, sometimes migrating up to 1,400 miles. A healthy turtle can live for 80-100 years. It was cool to swim along with the turtles and see them up close.  I also held an octopus.  Our guide called the octopus “taco”.  Have you ever seen a sea turtle?  Do you like turtles?

      Dear Laura,
I saw 4 turtles. There was 1 teenager and 3 big ones.

      Dear Grant,
The turtles we saw were not snapping turtles, they were “honu” (Hawaiian green turtles). It was really fun holding the octopus.:)

How did the octopus feel when you were holding it? Do you know any facts about the octopus?
